The history of art is rich in potential and perfectly suited for a children's TV series. This series is an invitation on a voyage of discovery… to see what humanity has done best: the history of art, or more specifically art and the stories it tells.

"A.R.T. Investigation"  is the name of a special team that carries out secret investigations to combat crime and smuggling in the art world. A crack team that tracks down - with an inimitable sense of humour - counterfeiters, looters, thieves and smugglers whose greed is insatiable and whose imagination knows no bounds.

The series is set in the present, and travels all over five continents. During its investigations the A.R.T. team explores the major archaeological sites, prestigious cities and the various episodes will take them all around the world, discovering different civilizations, both past and present, through their most representative artworks.

This team of experts, recruited at the famous Talent College, is based on the tiny Mediterranean island of Koulos. It comprises three young experienced students, Bird, Popsy and Matt, helped by very colourful adults, the scientist Agent Rix, the headmaster Ruiz John Weoh and the eccentric Miss Yu, who is both an art teacher and the instigator of the secret missions. During their missions the three heroes regularly grapple with the narcissistic and unscrupulous Eve Saint Germain and a host of other dishonest people prepared to do anything to get their hands on artworks.

The series has a plot construction similar to adult police series broadcast in prime time. The writers have maintained the investigation storyline and the suspense - but adapted it to suit a children's audience, with comedy and aimed at stimulating their interest in art.

All types of art, from the Old Masters to the most modern art, are covered in this series, because art is not just paintings in museums but a living phenomenon that evolves all the time.
