The adventures of Tom, a young dinosaur, travelling throughout the world and trying to find his way back home.Tom is a character larger than life and the biggest friend a kid could ever have. He paddles a small floating island around the coastal waters of his homeland when a violent storm brews up and Tom is driven far from his lost world.

The first people he encounters on his arrival to the world are two children, Tip and Wanda who are acrobats of the “World Famous Hamilton Circus”. Tip and Wanda take the perplexed dinosaur back with them to the circus and he travels with them, following the circus, on his little island from country to country.

But the existence of Tom catches the attention of an unpleasant man and his two partners in crime: Carter, Miss Hatch and Weadon, whose ambition it is, in each episode, to capture Tom and earn good money with him.

Throughout the series, a particular emphasis is put on travels and discoveries as Tom and the circus visit in each episode a different country or city, which acquaints them with a variety of cultures. Adventure is also a principal characteristic of this Series as Tom, Tip and Wanda continuously elude the wicked plots of Carter and his henchmen, thanks to their ingenuity and their strong sense of friendship.

Originally created by the famous illustrator Daniel Torres, Tom is a major European coproduction by the EBU, and distributed worldwide.

Parallel to the production of the TV Series, Tom saw the production of 52 one and half minute webisodes which can be used both on the broadcaster’s website and on screen.
