Imagine a glamorous and passionate character...a woman with an extraordinary destiny, who was born at the beginning of the 20th century.
Imagine a mix of Karen Blixen, Mata Hari and Isabelle Eberhardt. She travels all around the world through all the century. She gets involved in the most outstanding historic events. Her name is Iris White and she is "L'Aventurière"!

Fantasy, humour, history, exoticism, pleasure of adventure, emotion and empathy with our character...all this makes up the challenge of "L'Aventurière".

Her adventures bring us in Russia, Middle-East, Japan, China, Peru, along the Pacific or in Egypt...

"L'Aventurière" is a series of adventure films set against a historical background. Primarily made up of archive images, it uses a narrative and image-processing method where a comic-book technique creates a fun environment. Priority is given to the fun of adventure, emotion and empathy with Iris.

The adventure conveys the historical content, and not vice versa, with history overshadowing Iri's adventures. Two things are required for that: a high degree of rigour in relation to historical background and great latitude in terms of fantasy, fiction and the pleasure of relating imaginary adventures.

These films are mainly  made up archive. Archive material will form about 85% of the length of each film. Extremely high standards will be applied tu the use of these archive resources.

The series aims at being the television equivalent of historical novels and comic books.
