Ell/Nikki from Azerbaijan won the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Running Scared".

The winners claimed victory in front of a live audience of more than 30'000 spectators at the Düsseldorf Arena, while 70 million watched on TV and 150'000 online all over the world. 25 countries took part in the Final.

Viewers in the 43 countries that took part voted for their favourite songs via a pan-European televoting system. In addition, professional juries in each of those countries determined 50% of the results in the two Semi-Finals and the Final.

In 2012, the 57th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in the Crystal Hall, Baku, Azerbaijan, hosted by Ictimai TV. 42 countries will participate in the event.
