Lord of the Mountains is a winter version of the famous Jeux sans Frontières entertainment format. It was already broadcast in 2007 as a contest between Russia and Ukraine and is a successful mixture of winter sports, games and fun.

This show targets a wide age range – from children to grandparents – and is very much a family TV show for a weekend prime-time slot.

Up to 4 teams can play simultaneously, and we could even create a ‘Champions’ League’ of Lord of the Mountains. Each mixed team has 10–12 members who can either be celebrities or regular contestants, as long as they are fit.

The aim of the show is to provide a warm-up to the upcoming 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. This is why this city has been chosen as the location for the show.
