This format has been inspired by the magical world of the circus and the way it stimulates the imaginations of all children. It will show the viewers - young and old -  just how talented the children are from each country taking part in the adventure.

Magic Circus Show is an entertainment show intended for broadcast during the holiday season at the end of 2010. It shows children that have a talent for a circus act but who are not professional circus performers.

The children will be selected from circus schools in the various countries, then go through a casting session organized by the TV channels taking part in the series. With the help of their teacher(s) or a coach, they will then prepare three acts, individually or together, that they can perform during a circus show recorded in Switzerland in the real big top of the Christmas Circus on 27 November 2010.

The gala will comprise at least 18 acts by the children and the show will be accompanied by the "the Magic Circus Show Orchestra". A circus performer, a world-famous clown, will be the show's guest and will be the connecting element between the acts.

Some details about the format:
- Behind the scenes: to help the audience get to know and love the various candidates, each of the coproducing channels will produce four 3-minute postcards to present the children selected, their acts and the history of the circus in their country.

If they so wish, the coproducers can also produce two 13' documentaries to provide greater detail about the children and the training they have undergone with the coach to prepare for the performance. These documentaries can be exchanged between coproducers.

- The show (approx. 100 minutes): each coproducing country will receive the show for broadcast on its channel.

This exciting "European  adventure" is organized by TSR and the EBU and the shows for 2010, 2011 and 2012 will be recorded in Geneva.
Broadcasters wishing to take part in this project must commit to two shows and accept the rules drawn up by the EBU and TSR. The deadline to participate in the 2011 Show is October 2010.  Let the show begin!
