The second half of the 20th Century in Europe was marked by a series of long, hard and symbolic strikes.

The Yorkshire miners in the UK, in Romania or Gdansk in Poland, and in Sicily the tomato pickers. History and statistics have put them on the record.
We would like to show the experience of one of these strikes – symbolic in more ways than one.

1973. In an large watch-making factory in the East of France, Tulipe Cavagnoli, the daughter of Italian immigrants, a factory worker like her father, is trying to be just a 20-year-old at the very moment the cataclysmic strike takes place. In the midst of the battles in which she will eventually become entangled, the violence and the passions, the laughter and the tears, she will try to grow up and become herself.

Together with the young men who will love her and those she will love, the (girl)friends with whom she will share the enthusiasm of victory and the wounds of bitter demonstrations, she will live her era with a scent of youth about her. She will never forget the summer she turned 20. This story bears the mark of authenticity as it is, of course, based on events that actually happened.

Written by Jean Vautrin, a former director ("Adieu L' Ami" with Charles Bronson and Alain Delon), twice winner of the Prix Goncourt (the French Pulitzer Prize), this TV movie will be directed by Dominique Ladoge ( Les Vauriens, les P'tits Lucas).
Charles Aznavour (whose TV producer is also producing "All Together One Summer") is one of the actors approached.
