The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded to "the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between the nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses". That includes fighting for peace, human rights, humanitarian aid, and freedom.

The Humanists will present the commitment of chosen Nobel Peace Prize-winners.

People with very different lives yet sharing the same challenge: making a better world!

Each film will feature the human adventure of one of these apparently ordinary men or women who fought extraordinary battles against war, hunger, injustice, illness, or slavery, all in the name of peace.

The Nobel Peace Prize, introduced in 1901, has been awarded to more than 100 people from more than 30 countries as well as to governmental and non-governmental organizations.

The series, currently in development, is proposed by T&C Film (Switzerland) and Dominique Othenin-Girard ("Henri Dunant, Red on the Cross"), who will oversee the production, and by TSR (Switzerland).

Its value comes from the universal vocation of the protagonists – promoters of ideals, freedom, love and devotion – and in its major cultural potential.

Available detailed synopsis today on Lech Walesa, Betty Williams, Mairead Corrigan, Fridtjof Nansen and Mohammed Yunus.

Currently being written, synopsis on Aung San Suu Kyi, Wangari Maathai and Rigoberta Menchu.
