1. Eurovision Creative Forum
The Creative Forum is an annual content exchange and networking initiative reserved exclusively for public service broadcasters. This unique forum offers EBU members & members from other PSB organizations worldwide the opportunity to exchange experience in programme making, trade TV formats, share production and studio facilities, and pool their creative potential thus forming an European/international network.

2. Working groups
The idea of the working groups is to join forces to develop and pilot new formats in various genres and to share information and research. Two working groups, each with four members, already exist. 

3. Format development/acquisition
Joint briefings with certain criteria are to be prepared by the Formats Core Group so that major development houses can come up with the "Dream Team" project. This is in line with our attempts to evaluate potential format acquisitions on an EBU network level.

4. Commissioners meeting
This annual meeting is bringing together the heads of programming within the Members organisation to evaluate the different programme strategies and scheduling grids.

5. Newsletter
In cooperation with the SIS a format magazine is published once a year containing in-depth information about TV trends and strategies including interviews with media personalities.

6. Eurovision Creative Center
Regular format workshop are organized on various topics such as creative tools and best practices ('How to turn a good idea into a successful TV programme'), the influence of the financial downturn on the media business or the formatting of productions. The workshops provide exclusive access to high value media knowledge for all EBU members. 

7. Eurovision Format Sales
The Formats & Special Events Unit handles ESC format sale worldwide.
