The "Meeting with... Facebook" at EBU headquarters on 15 January was attended by EBU Members' heads of Internet, new media, multimedia and digital strategy.

During the morning session, the Facebook Growth Manager representatives presented applications and strategies to attract new audiences using Facebook tools and platform.

The afternoon session gave EBU Members the opportunity to present their experiences using Facebook and learn from each other. The following Members gave presentations: ARD, TSR, RTVE, RTBF, France Televisions, VTR and ZDF. The meeting ended with a video conference with Henri Moissinac, the head of Facebook Mobile, who gave some insights into his mobile strategy.

The Interactive TV & Crossmedia Unit has produced a document with a summary of the event and the 10 golden rules and wrongs when drawing up a social-media strategy using Facebook. This document is available to EBU Members upon request (brochot@ebu.ch).
