"Letter from my Child" Trailer

In each of the six episodes, a child writes a letter to his/her parent(s). The letters of the children play a crucial role and provide the red thread of the series. In their letters, the children describe their daily lives, their countries, their inner feelings, their parents and their dreams of the future. Quite often, the letter is used to ask their parents questions they dare not ask face to face. Each family has a secret that will be revealed in an episode of the series.

This series will focus on families from countries all over the world. Countries where the families have to bear the consequences of war, conflict, corruption, lack of democracy and economical disaster. Countries like China, Russia, Brazil, Thailand, Congo and Haiti.

"Letter from my Child" is an attempt to reveal what is usually hidden in mainstream current affairs magazines and news reports. The aim of this series is to give a human face to front-page news. Therefore, the series focuses on the very people – children and their parents – who struggle at the bottom of society to survive, who bear the consequences of political and economical events.

"Letter from my Child" is also a series about the universal generation gap, the gap between parents and children. Through their personal stories, major news events change into human tragedies. Children are the future and this series gives them a voice.
